👁 • #RedEyeNovember (2024) - Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Rye Stout with Black Ring Coffee • 13.5% ABV • For the seventh bottled batch of this Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Coffee Stout, we've partnered with our own Supervising Brewer, Bryan Barron, and his Long Beach-based coffee roasting company @black_ring_coffee!
When Bryan isn't overseeing our brewing operations, he's perfecting the next batch of beans on the 14lb coffee roaster at the business he's owned since 2017. He and the Black Ring team are known for their small-batch roasts, award-winning cold brew, and house-made syrups -- and they've been keeping our Production Team caffeinated since Bryan joined our team this summer!
We’re thrilled to showcase the washed El Salvador - Las Lomas coffee beans Bryan selected and roasted specifically for RedEye November (2024). This coffee brings decadent flavors of toasted marshmallows, walnuts, semi-sweet chocolate, and baking spices to Darkstar November's base notes of burnt sugar, spicy rye, and oak.

Dark Forces is the high-octane evolution of Darkstar November, a Bourbon Barrel-Aged Rye & Molasses Monster Stout that pushes brewing to its very limits. Sugar-fed with 3,000 pounds of dextrose to stoke the fermentation inferno, this 17.3% ABV leviathan is both a tribute and a challenge—a force to be reckoned with.
Originally conjured for last year's DSN TEN celebration, this stout refused to be rushed. For two full years it grew darker and deadlier, leeching power from a series of legendary bourbon casks—Eagle Rare, Heaven Hill, Buffalo Trace, and Woody Creek.
Now, the time has finally come to summon it into the world.Darkness descends with each sip: a flood of baking spice, rich dried fruits, velvety chocolate, and the haunting echoes of oak and leather. Its fiery exhale brands itself into your senses, leaving an intense warmth in your chest that lingers like a warning: the darkness is here, and it is unyielding.
