π¬ #FundamentalObservation (2024) - Bourbon Barrel-Aged Madagascar Vanilla Imperial Stout β’ 14% ABV β’ Celebrating its tenth vintage in 2024, Fundamental Observation stands as the electric current cornerstone of our brewery.
This "liquid brownie batter" was aged exclusively in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels and finished out at a mighty 14% ABV. Each barrel of this milestone vintage saw multiple additions of Madagascar vanilla, ultimately aging with two full pounds of vanilla beans over the course of a year. Familiar flavors of bourbon-soaked cookie dough, coveted corner pieces of brownie, and decadent caramel meld together with beautiful barrel tones and a present-but-pleasant alcohol heat.
